PM Trains His Granddaughter on Diplomacy

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has taken his granddaughter with him on his current series of diplomatic visits to the United Nations, Cuba and Japan.

The Prime Minister made a post on his official Facebook page before flying out of Cambodia on Wednesday morning, 21 September, “Taking granddaughter with me to learn my work. My granddaughter waited on the plane first, not taking any pictures with her. I wish all my compatriots happiness and progress.”

Prime Minister Hun Sen's eldest granddaughter recently returned to Cambodia after completing her studies in France. During the Prime Minister’s visit to Hungary in June 2019, his granddaughter visited him and was allowed to pay a courtesy call to the then President and Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament.

The Prime Minister stated at the time that this was to let his grandchildren know how the country's leaders work.
